First Part: Lima and its surroundings (3 days)

Learn about Peruvian Ore-Deposits Geology, Mining in Peru, and  Mining Challenges in Peru

Trip to the underground mine of an IOCG-Cu deposit located at the southern part of Lima, as well as to the main features of the Geology of Lima.

Tour about the history of Lima.

 Second Part: Central part of Peru (4 days)

Learn about the Geology of a Central Andes cross-section, viewing historical mining sites along the Peruvian central road and crossing the world highest railroad pass (4880 m)

Visit to the underground mine of a Mississippi Valley Type-Zn deposit at the Subandean zone of central Peru at the border of the Amazonian region.

Visit to the open pit of a Polymetallic Replacement deposit at the Western Andean Mountain Range.

Third Part: Northern part of Peru (6 days)

Visit to the open pit of a high sulfidation epithermal-Au deposit at the Western Andean Mountain Range and the open pit of a World Class Polymetallic Skarn deposit to the East of the “White Mountain Range”.

Trip to the Pastoruri Glacier at the “White Mountain Range”

Tour to the “Huaca de la Luna” and other pre-Columbian archaeological sites»
