Housing and Meals

A typical day in Lima:

During the first week in Lima we will be staying near PUCP campus, where breakfast and lunch will be served. Classes will start at 10:00 a.m. and there will be a two-hour recess at 1:00 p.m. for lunch. Experiments will take place in the afternoon, between 3:00 and 6:00 p.m., at the laboratory. We will be back to the hotel at around 7:00 p.m.

A typical day in Trujillo:

During the first week of field activities we will be staying in a modest but comfortable house in Huanchaco, a very nice beach town on the north coast. Activities will start at 6:30 a.m. with breakfast until 7:00 a.m., and then we will leave for Huaca de la Luna, where we will be working until 2:00 p.m. with short recesses between activities to rest and grab a snack. We will be back in our house in Huanchaco at 3:00 p.m., and have lunch at around 3:30 p.m. The meals during our stay in Huanchaco will be traditional coastal dishes. Afternoon activities will comprise the analysis of data obtained during the day under the supervision of professors and assistants.

A typical day in Zaña:

We will move to the outskirts of the city of Trujillo for the last week of activities in order to carry out the work at this colonial site. Just like the first week in the field, activities will start with breakfast at 6:30 a.m., in order to be able to leave for Zaña at 7:00, where we will be working until 2:00 p.m. At 3:00 p.m. we will be back home to have lunch at around 3:00 p.m. Food will be prepared by people in town. Afternoon activities will comprise the analysis of data obtained during the day under the supervision of professors and assistants.
